Is Novartis, chloramphenicol Medication Enough For Suspected Eye Infection?

my 22 month son has a swelling under his right eye this is not the first time it has occured but i am not sure what it is; if a eye infection or what? He is about 30lbs and I took him to a doctor who told me what he it is but i can't remember what he said. But he prescribed novartis and chloramphenicol. Can you please advise if it is a eye infection and if the medication prescribed is effective. This is 8 days that he has it but only 5 days of using the medication and the swelling is still the same.

doctor who examined can diagnose correctly. from your history it appears it is calazion. eye doctor should examine and if it is confirmed, then incision ond scooping is the only treatment.
