Is Numbness And Pain In Nose Post An Injury A Concern?

About 4 weeks ago I suffered a vagus nerve association and fell from a chair onto o tiled floor onto my face. Nose not broken though I have sustained a lump and cut on the bridge of my nose and a scrapping under my nose. My question and concern is that the tip of my nose is still numb and painful when exposed to the cold weather. Will the numbness subside or have I damaged a nerve?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most common conditions that could cause face paresthesia are anxiety and stress disorder, low blood calcium levels, peripheral neuropathy (low vitamin B12, diabetes, drugs side effects etc.) nerve trauma or compression etc.

So, there is a need for more information about your symptoms and other health issues, medical tests, if any.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
