Is Numbness Caused By Compression Of The Thecal Sac?

Hello, I was diagnosed with Disc bulge L4, L5, and L5, S1 with mild compression of the thecal sac following a car accident early this year. My toes go numb, and I have a lot of pain and swelling in my low back. Can these bulging discs be healed without surgery after a year? Is the numbness caused by the compression of the thecal sac? Kind Regards, Raul
