Is Odd Times Eating A Sign Of Depression?

I am having problems staying awake after eating. Rice potatoes, chips, biscuits, gravy, and now yogurt. Forget bananas, grapes, Apple s. I am getting to the point of only drinking water. This started after a heat stroke and is just getting worse. Dr says I m depressed but I think there s more to it.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Binge eating is a condition called bulimia nervosa (your doctor suggested depression because depression is a broader term and bulimia comes under depressiive disorders).. But I don't think you are bulimic. It is natural that body asks for more food after a heat stroke and further treatment and medication. The present binge eating will stop when you engage yourself in other activities such as education, career, games, entertainment etc. In fact, sitting at home, taking rest, increases the binge eating. Go out and enjoy yourself.

If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
