Is Oedema Harmful?

hi I had circumcision surgery exactly a month ago. My antibiotics are over and I have been applying neosporin on my penis and covering it with a gauze. The issue is that the swelling is still there. I consulted another doctor as i had to travel abroad. And he says Oedema is there. I am worried is it harmful or will it go away in some time?

If one month has elapsed after your surgery, the edema is not normal. It should have resolved already. You might need to get it checked again to see if there is any cause for the edema. It could be a mild infection of the wound or a small hematoma. Anyway you need to see a surgeon who can direct the appropriate treatment for that. Wait another week and if the edema persists, then definitely it is time to see a doctor.
