Is Osteomyelitis Related To Burning Sensation In Knees?

Mt right knee has been painful and now it is burning all around my knee and going downright side and front of shin. It feels like it is on fire from the inside and painful. The lower part of my leg, feels similar to my sciatic pIn when my back acts up. What could be the cause of this? I had osteomyelitis in my back and developed nerve damage in both legs from it, could that have anything to do with it?

Hello,

The characteristics of pain you are experiencing is more concerning for a knee issue. Such acute onset pain can occur due to trauma, infection, gout, etc. An Xray of the affected knee joint is required as the initial evaluation. Please follow up with your primary provider as soon as possible.
