Is Pain And Indent In Shin Bone After Pulled Calf Muscle Normal?

I pulled my calf muscle playing basketball. It has been a week and I still have pain and swelling. My real concern is that I can leave an indent along side of my shin bone.( The same side as the injury). The injury to my calf is on the inside of my left leg. Is it normal to be able to leave an inprint along side of my shin bone?
