Is Pain And Swelling In Knee After Having Twisted The Knee A Cause For Concern?

Hi am a 62 year old female. I fell on the ice in late Feb and twisted my knee. X-ray showed no broken bones. After 3 weeks of resting my knee I started physical therapy . My friends told me I should have gotten an MRI. Would that have made a difference, in my care or Pt? I still have pain and swelling with my normal activities.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, knee is very fragile joint and in case of injury MRI is the best option for this because it could detect all the possible damages, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
