Is Pain And Tightness In Neck With Cracking Sound When Bent Concerning?

hello, about two weeks ago I wwas waking up and lifted my neck. A loud cracking sound accured and I would move my neck to the left. Ive had this happen before but never had the loud cracking noise. Its still hurting a bit today but I can move my neck to the left and right but its sore and tight when I look up and down. Should I get my neck looked at or is it just needing to be stretch out more?
