Is Pain In Hip Radiating To Knee Related To Degenerative Disc In Spine?

I am a 67 year old female who is experiencing pain in my hip when I lay down. The pain then radiates to my knee. I do have degenerative disc in my lumbar spine and wonder whether this is related. This symptom is new (last few days) and I do have some discomfort when walking or lifting my leg.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it may be degenerative disc disease and it is the sciatica by maintaining the good posture pain can be minimized, even Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in day can be tried but it is advisable to confirm the diagnosis hope this information helps.
