Is Pain In Spine And Back Around The Abdomen Post Vertebroplasty A Cause For Concern?

I had Vertebroplasty done on 2 vertibraes in my back that was broke.DR told me my spine was like butter...now I have pain from the spine around to my tummy..and my back hurts bad..not wherw he did the surgery but lower..should I make a apt to see the surgeon ??

Dear patient
As per your case your spine is osteoporosis there are chances of vertebral compression fractures. Since you have undergone vertebroplasty before 2 says with pain olin other area of spine , new level compression fracture is likely possibility. I would advise Xray of involved spine region anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out bony abnormalities.
