Is Pain In The Chest And Shoulder Of A 22-year-old Woman Symptoms Of An Underlying Disease?

I m a 22 year old female and I m having some chest pain on the front right side of my body. It s been hurting for a few days now, but today it s really painful, and hurts more when I take deep breaths. Originally I had been trying to breath lightly, but today there d be times that I d hold my breath to relieve the pain. The pain is no longer localised in the chest, but in my right shoulder as well. What could it possibly be? Should I visit a hospital?

From the available description, there is the possibility of pleuritis or lung infection (infection of structures below the chest and shoulder). Since there is breathlessness increasing over a period of time I feel visiting a doctor should be the first choice rather than waiting.
