Is Painful Constipation A Symptom Of Haemorrhoids?
Hello, I started having pain in my buttocks/anal area yesterday. The pain was worse when I sat for a few minutes or had a bowel movement. With the exception of the bowel movement when this started there has been no blood. Just a little on the toilet tissue with first bowel movement that was constipated and very painful. The pain was a bit severe overnight and I had issues sleeping. I went to the pharmacy today and got wipes and preparation H ointment but it does not seem to be helping. Have a itching almost pinching feeling in the area. I can feel the lump it seems to be about the size of my index fingertip. Is this hemorrhoids? How long will it last? Thank you.
Hi, Thanks for writing your query. After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined by a surgeon for planning your medical management. Anal fissure should be ruled out. I would advise that you should do Sitz bath twice daily as it will help in controlling your symptoms. Avoid spicy and oily foods. Also take fibre rich foods to avoid constipation. Drink lots of water daily. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
