Is Painful Muscle Near Armpit Indicative Of Torn Muscle?

i rolled over on my left side putting pressure on my underarm, actually a touch lower and suddenly a strong pain that felt like a ruptured ball. Now I have pain at the top of my breast (i am female) and it seems to be under my chest muscle in my armpit on my rib. It hurts when I take a deep breath, and when I push against my side toward the front with my upper arm. Did I tear a tendon, tear a muscle, or what?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in armpit and chest region which increases on movement is suggestive of a musculoskeletal disorder and musculoskeletal pain.
There could be an injury to soft tissues due to pressure.
However, it cannot be ascertained whether there is injury to the muscles or tendon.
A X-ray chest is required along with MRI of the region.
MRI will help to determine soft tissue details and to determine if there is any muscle injury ot soft tissue injury.
The condition can be managed after clinical assessment, investigations and and thus diagnosis.

Thanks and take care
