MY WIFE DIED OF PANCREATIC CANCER AT THE AGE OF 56. HER DAD ALSO DIED OF PANCREATIC CANCER ALONG WITH OTHER ILNESSES AT AGE 83. mY WIFE S DAUGHTER AND SON ARE CONCERED ABOUT PANCREATIC CANCER BEING HEREDITARY AND ARE CONTEMPLATING GENETIC TESTING. aNY SUGGESTIONS?

Based on your query am of the following opinion.
1. Pancreatic cancer cause is multifactorial. However there is a genetic basis too.
2. Since there is a strong family history of pancreatic cancer it is advisable to go for genetic testing.
