Is Passing Green Stool A Week After A Stomach Injury Anything Serious?

I was in an automobile accident last Monday and my belly was bruised up from the steering wheel. I went to er that night and they did a ct with contrast to make sure I wasn t bleeding internally. I wasn t and doctor just said I was bruised. Now, a week later I m pooping dark green. Should I be worried?

Usually this indicates either a digestion problem or sometimes a colon infection but it wouldn't be related to your accident. You should have a stool sample sent to the lab
