I don't smoke..but my husband does and has smoked for years...every once in a while I will get the taste of smoke in my mouth and the smell in my nostrils like I just smoked a cigarette? What does that mean for me...do I need to see a doctor....I'm having that problem right now...I hate it!
You get the abnormal taste and smell when you have had a strong exposure to second hand smoke. While this symptom per se does not require a visit to the doctor, you need to keep in mind that passive smoking also increases one's risk of developing lung cancer and other illnesses. Try to convince your husband to avoid smoking inside the house or designate parts of the house as smoke free zones so that you are exposed less.
Best wishes.
