Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Left
testicular pain and
varicocele seems unrelated to this particular episode of sexual contact.
Anyway, I would definitely suggest testing for STD's even though there have been no obvious sores, urethral discharge Or warts or growths.
STD's like HIV; syphilis; prostratic involvement with chlamydia and mycoplasma;
herpes etc may not be noticeable or may not be very symptomatic in the period immediately after sexual activity and may be discovered only on testing, therefore testing is recommended.
Screening test for Syphilis (
VDRL) and HIV can be done at 1 month and then again at 3 months. Herpes can be tested as early as 2 weeks.
I would also suggest a urine routine microscopy to look for pus cells Or microscopy of urethral discharge obtained after a prostatic
massage to look for pus cells.
In addition to testing if you notice any urethral discharge, genital ulcers/erosions, warts or growths or inguinal swelling etc you must immediately get it checked with a sexual health specialist.
