Is Periods With Painful Cramps At The Age Of 49 Worrisome?

Hello. I got my period 3 days ago after not having it for a year. I am 49. Along with the horrific painful cramps my entire stomache is distended and gas been for the oast 3 days. I have taken tums extra strength to try to relive it. I am getting no relief. Also, i am constipated which is very rare for me. Help. Thank you

Food poisoning may cause abdominal cramps.
Indigestion and more gas ptoblem cause this type of problem.

Any intestinal infection may cause abdominal cramps.
Proper physical examination and history give exact idea.

Consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.
Abdominal ultra sonography and stool examination test is helpful for further diagnosis.
