Is Persistent Cough Along With Bleeding From Ears A Cause For Concern?
I have caught some kind of virus where the cough is the predominant problem, then I took a flight and my ears hurt incredibly as we descended. I equalised my ears and it felt like a tyre blow out. Now, a day and a half later, my inner ear (as far as I can reach with my finger nail) hurts and is bleeding to a small extent ( I can only retrieve blood on probing, it is not bleeding out of my ear).. Is this normal or do I need to see a doctor?
thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com.....
it might be a problem of pharyngitis which had also involved your ear through auditory tube and when you had air travel, there could have been a barotrauma to your ear.... the blood might be due to that or maybe due to injury of the ear canal with your finger nail....
are you having any difficulty with hearing? any vertigo? any discharge from ear? kindly provide the answers and i will be able to tell further.... anyways i would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist and get examined....
hope this was helpful.... regards
