Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Persistent Headache Post A Head Injury A Concern?
I m 53 yrs old female and fell in the driveway yesterday...smacked the back of my head but no blood or any obvious bump. I had a headache but that was it. I m only writing this because on 11/06/2016 I fell in a storage parking lot and smacked the front of my head and there was bleeding. No blurry vision, just a headache and a huge bump that eventually went away. I have no insurance so no doctor visit.

Headache persists for a long time after traumatic brain injuries. A minor headache, though may be troubling, is no major of a concern and can be treated with over the counter analgesic. But if the headache is severe enough to decapacitate you, then a radiological examination with several MRI sequences will be needed to explore into the cause.
