Is Persistent Rectal Bleeding Suggestive Of Cancer?

My mother has been bleeding rectally for almost 3 months now. Her gastroenterologist took out a massive polyp about 6 months ago, but now will not see her because she started bleeding again and as a kind of punishment for not taking the Colite (she is 82 with a husband with Dementia, COPD and unstable diabetes) along with a daughter and an only sibling who are causing us legal problems, he is making her wait until January for her next colonoscopy. I am furious at this so called punishment game, as I am afraid that my mother could very well have cancer as even they didnèt expect it to come back to fast. She we forget this donkey and go to someone else. Could it be cancer this time

Rectal bleeding may always indicate cancer but more common causes are polyps or hemorrhoids. In every case, colonoscopy must be done as soon as possible.
