Is Pill Or Tubal Ligation Safe For Long Run?

I have severe PMS sx that are starting 2 to 3 weeks before Ishould have my period. My periods have been heavy, requiring using the bathroom q Are hre. I had my tubes tied and have heard that this is common. I do not want to be on the pill and am wondering about ablation or if being on the pill would be more beneficial in the long run.

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Premenstrual syndrome has lot of symptoms. If you can please specify the symptoms that you have. It will be easy for me to give you suggestions. If there is mood swings it needs love style modifications like exercise. If there is breast pain or abdominal cramps we need to prescribe pain killers for that. Tubal ligation is the best method of birth control, there is no need for additional birth control.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
