Is Positive ANA Of 1:80 Speckled Pattern Cause For Concern?

I'm a 41 y/o African American Male (DAV). Above normal amylase (recently as low as 129, high 220+ a few years back) non-alcohol related, general fatigue (mainly when out in the sun), sunlight really bothers vision, herniated disk, arthritis (back, neck, knees, hands), and other concerns. Family hx: mother lupus, sister hypothyroidism, sister w/lupus. Should I be concerned about a positive ANA of 1:80 speckled pattern?

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have arthritis and symptoms of autoimmune disease and also have family history of that. Ypu should concern your positive ANA result.
You have speckled pattern in ANA. It suggest you may have SLE, Mixed connective tissue disease, Sjogren syndrom or scletoderma.
You should go for complete ANA profile to know the exact cause. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
