Is Positive TORCH Test Report During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?

Dear Maam, I had undergone a recent MTP at 20 wk age of the fetus due to absent of liquor. Now doctor has advised me for TORCH test , which results show positive presence of Cytomegalovirus 3.24, herpes simplex both 1 &2 4.05 and Rubella 3.34. Now I want to ask can these results may harmful for my next issue.

Hello,

A positive torch test is of course harmful and it can also be the cause of congenital anomalies.

I think you may need to do morphology ultrasound to check foetus since you are at the right age of pregnancy to do so. If anomalies are found medical abortion may be needed.
