Hi there.
I do believe there seems to be some confusion or perception difficulties & incongruencies in your symptoms, clinical description & tests.
HVP is a term that is not applicable here. If you are alluding to HPV (
human papilloma virus), then fine but the symptoms & description & tests are not for this virus & this virus leads to the formation of what we commonly term 'warts'.
Now, Zoster or
Herpes Zoster is the medical term for 'Shingles' & is at best a 'misnomer' in the English Language because it leads you to believe the infection is caused by the herpes virus where as in truth, it is a latent infection caused by the
Varicella Zoster (commonly known as
chicken pox) virus.
The
Blood test that you describe is possibly HSV or
Herpes Simplex Virus & there are commonly 2 strains that are tested for
HSV1 & HSV2. This can be either sexually or non-sexually transmitted & are a recurrent pesky issue.
Shingles is NOT caused by this HSV virus & herpes infection is a separate virus.
I do hope I have managed to put your query in perspective. Do feel free to call on me at Vikram Hospital Bangalore for further clarifications.
Good Luck & Godspeed!
