Is Pregnancy Possible After Missing A Few Doses Of Birth Control Pills?

While on vacation I lost my birth control pack one week and one day into it, i had unprotected sex the 2nd and 3rd day into the second week of birth control, but he did not ejaculate inside me, I didn’t take it for 5 days total and got my period the 5th day without birth control, I had my period from Monday-Friday/Saturday and started my next pack Sunday, I am now 4 days into my new birth control pack. What if I am pregnant I don’t know if I should stop taking the birth control again, or if I can take a pregnancy test while on birth control, etc.

Here are your answers.
1. Your cycle was not protected since you missed five pills in a row. Yet as you experienced withdrawal bleeding after the unprotected intercourse, you are unlikely to be pregnant.
2. You can take a pregnancy test while on the contraceptive since it is the hCG levels that are measured. Better still, you can go for the blood test to be more precise.
3. Please use additional protection during this cycle since you may have random ovulation.
