Is Pregnancy Possible After Removal Of Fallopian Tube?

Hi, I had an ectopic pregnancy in October 2015, I had an emergency surgery and they removed my left fallopian tube. Since then I haven t had my normal periods, first I didn t have it at all, Dr had to give me pills to force my menstruation to come, and now I have them every other month (naturally without any medication) Is that normal? We have been trying to get pregnant and we haven t had any luck either : (

Hi,

The loss of the fallopian tube should not affect the frequency of your periods.

If you have been trying to conceive for more than 1 year without success then it would be best to be assessed by a fertility specialist.

In addition to ultrasound of the uterus and other structures, blood tests and additional imaging may be needed to find a cause. Semen analysis is also normally required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
