Is Pregnancy Possible After Taking ECP And Being On Microgynon With Trimethoprim?

Hi I am on microgynon 30 and took antibiotics (trimethoprim) for a urine infection for three days. I then had sex with my boyfriend on the sixth day after i finished my antibiotics, but the condom broke. I went to the pharmasist after 14 hours and took the morning after pill (levonelle one step). Is there still a chance i could be pregnant? if so is it a high risk/chance?

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pregnancy is not possible because:
1. You are already on microgynon (very effective in prventing the pregnancy: failure rate is 0.5-1 %)
2. Trimethoprim does not affect the effectiveness of microgynon
3. You had sex in the safe period of cycle and at that time ovulation is not occur.
4. You already use ECP and it prevent the pregnancy.

But your period may be delayed (8-10 days)/earlier and excessive due to ECP.
So just be relax, pregnancy chance is not possible.
Hope this may help you
