Is Pregnancy Possible After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?
I m habib, 34 years old, from Dhaka - Bangladesh. my wife 24 years old. I have 2 children... a daughter of 3 years old & a son of 1 year old, and just now I didn t want a new baby. Last 20th December 2016, I have make a missing that, I didn t use any protector while we are in sex. Then 21st Dec (next day) I gave an emergency pill (may be it was Emcon , price 65 tk) to my wife to safe from pregnancy coceive. But now I m worried that, may be it was not worked. because my wife s last period date was 25 to 29th (+/-) November 2016. To day is 1st January 2017. Already 1 week has over, yet there is no symptoms of her period. Is she conceived already?? If yes then what should I do to avoid it. I m strongly determind that I didn t want a new baby just now, it may be but later.

Last period date: 25th to 29th Novemeber' 2016. Sex was done on : 20th December;2016. So sex was done in safe period of cycle, so chance of pregnancy is less.Emergency contraceptive pill was taken on next day.If it was taken with in 24 hours then it has 98-98% effective in preventing pregnancy. If was taken after 24 hours then it is 80-85% effective in preventing pregnancy. But emergency contraceptive pill can cause hormonal imbalance. It cause delayed in period by 1-2 week. If period will not come in next 7 days then consult gynecologist. Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
