Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I had my tubes tied about a year ago.. Been having pregnancy like symptoms... Nausea throughout the day, fatigue, cravings, emotional, cramps, ect.. Me and my spouse have been very sexually active.. I am late on my period 6 days, took a pregnancy test today and came back negative... What does that mean? Should i be concerned? Can i be pregnant?
Rarely, an ectopic pregnancy can happen after tubal ligation. This isn’t like a normal pregnancy. Instead, the fertilized egg implants and starts to grow somewhere else, usually in a fallopian tube. Anyway, based on the fact that that the test came up negative the chances are very low. If you don't get your period I suggest to do a beta HCG blood test for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
