Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On NuvaRing?

Hi, this is my first time using the nuvaring in almost ten years. So I put the ring in on Nov. 14th. and I took it out a few times while having sex bc of discomfort. I forgot to put it back in on two occasions. I went a few days without having sex after I put it back in. One time I fell asleep and didn t remember that it was still out but as soon as I remembered I put it back in. Then I had sex the next morning. Could I get pregnant by doing that?

Hi,

Since you had the Nuvaring out and engaged in unprotected intercourse, there is a definite risk for pregnancy. Use another form of contraception for at least 2 weeks if the Nuvaring has been taken out/fallen off. If you do not get your period on the after the 'Nuva-Ring free' 4th week, please be advised to do a home pregnancy test.
