Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?

Hi there, I have been on birth control pill for 3 weeks now starting on my period and I have been experiencing very light bleeding on and off the whole time. Yesterday it became a lot heavier like a normal period and I developed very bad abdominal and back pain. Is this normal?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
No pregnancy possibility is very less when a woman is on birth control pills. But if you have taken the birth control pills irregularly or missing one or more pills then pregnancy could take place.
Light bleeding off & on is a common problem when you have just started on birth control pills. It is not sign of any problem & would be okkay on its own with passage of time.
Now you must have got your periods, therefore your bleeding is getting heavier now. You are also getting back pain & abdominal cramps which could be felt during periods by a woman. For this you could take normal anti-inflammatory medicine like paracetamol/ibuprofen.

Refer to a gynaecologist if problem persists or worsens
Don't worry you would be fine
Hope this information helps
