Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Protected Intercourse?

I had sex about 30 minutes ago. My significant other had a condom on and he pulled out before he ejaculated. We didn t realize until he ejaculated that the condom had broken. He did not ejaculate inside me, but we are very concerned. I peed right after it happened. I am not on birth control. Could I still get pregnant? Caitlin: I m scheduled to get my period in the next few days , so if I get my period, that means I m not pregnant? Caitlin: He also did not ejaculate anywhere near my vagina. We do not know when it broke but can I get pregnant from pre-cum?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
- Unprotected sex few days prior is not likely to impregnate ( pregnancy is possible with sex as late as 12 days before next expected periods .. in regular menses cycle ....is likely to cause pregnancy.)
-Ejaculation away from vagina ,, excludes possibility of pregnancy. BUT a broken condom may leak precum ... which is able to cause pregnancy in few instances. HERE... if it is far away than ovulation day ( less than 11 days before next expected menses)... no chances of pregnancy.
Thanks.
