Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Althea Pills Post Unprotected Intercourse?

Hi MD. I would like to ask If I will be safe from pregnancy with my situtaion. I expected my menstrual period yesterday but it didnt come. I had an unprotected sex yesterday too. Lastnight, I ve took 1 tablet of Althea birth control pills. Will I be safe since today I drink my second tablet? I still don t have my period. Thank you

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your unwanted pregnancy.

As per your history you had sex day before the normal date of your period. This period falls in the SAFE PERIOD zone of the menstrual cycle. That means if you had not any sex before this there is no chance of pregnancy even if you had not taken the birth control pills.

Althea pills are birth control pills for 21days, and a single pill will not be helpful. You need a full month dosage of althea pills for proper birth control.

Now because you had unprotected sex on the safe period there is practically no pregnancy possible.
