Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

Hi dr I had unprotected sex on 28 November and after having I gave her I pill within 2 hours and today is 4th December almost a week and she didn t feel any bleeding although she got an Allergy on her neck and face please help me out with this I am really tensed I don t know what to do when will be the next period cycle

Hello dear
I understand your concern
You had taken the I pill with in the 2 hours of the sex.
It is highly effective in preventing the pregnancy. (95-97% success rate).
So it has just 0-5% failure rate.
Withdrawal bleeding will not occur in all I pill user and it has no relation in preventing the pregnancy.
I pill contain progesterone and cause delay in period by 1-2 week and excessive bleeding can occur.
If your period will delay by more then 2 weeks then go for urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG test to confirm the pregnancy.
If you will become pregnant (very less chance) then still you can terminate it by abortion pill under the advise of the gynecologist.
Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, do regular exercise and eat healthy diet.
For allergy: take tablet cetrizine and other treatment depend on the symptoms.
