Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Lady Pill?

Hello. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex last tuesday night (Aug 30). He pulled out before his release and was sure that none leaked inside my vagina. But there s this thing we call pre-cum right? And I just want to make sure so I started taking Emergency Contraceptive Pills right away even when I still don t have my period. It s entitled Lady and contains levonorgestrel ethinyl estradiol. Can you provide some advice about the drug? Am I safe from pregnancy? Thank you.

Hi,

Although this is not very likely, it is, however, possible that pregnancy occurs so you had one risky intercourse and if this happened during your ovulation period it is possible that pregnancy occurs, but considering your description of it, this risk is minor. To be sure you should do a pregnancy test which can be done when a period is missed or 8 days after the targeted intercourse so at this point it would be accurate enough to detect possible pregnancy. Standard urine test would be enough for it since this is almost 99% accurate.
