Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Levonelle After Intercourse?

I had unprotected sex on day 15 of my cycle and took the levonelle contraceptive pill around 12-13 hours later. I m on day 26 of my 28 day cycle and am feeling exhausted/run down, sore boobs/nipples, I have lower back ache, random pains in my lower abdomen and I feel like I m urinating more. Im not sure whether im just having extreme period symptoms or Can I be pregnant even if I took the MAP with 72 hours?

Hi,

When taken within 72 hours of an unprotected sex Levonelle can prevent up to 94% of unwanted pregnancies.

Levonelle is an emergency contraceptive is more effective if you take it as soon as possible after unprotected sex.

Based on the history given you seem to be suffering from the side effects of levonelle.

However, if you want you can go for a blood test for pregnancy after one week of missing your normal period, which will completely rule out the possibility of pregnancy.

There is nothing to worry about it, these side effects will subside over a period of time.
