Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

During the menstrual cycle there is no ovulation. In fact the thickened endometrium is being shed causing the menstrual flow. So having sex on the last day of the menstrual cycle is unlikely to result in pregnancy.

Even taking contraceptive tablet is not useful rather not needed. The tablet mentioned should be taken as one tablet a day and like what has been done. Taking extra doses can cause a considerable disturbance. Now there is no need to take any further dose.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhakar Laxman Jathar
