Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan-B?

Hello, I am a 19 year old female. In February, I had sex for the first time and following that, my period was 2 weeks late possibly due to high stress levels (it came mid-March). So, I took a pregnancy test, which came out negative. Following that, my period was two weeks early (early April), and then it was two weeks early again (Apr 19-23). According to my calendar, my next period should not be until approximately mid-May, however, I got my period today, almost two weeks early again. Throughout this entire time, I have been under a lot of stress but my stress levels have decreased since mid April. Throughout this time, the only time I had sex after February was at the end of April, when I had to take Plan B. I was wondering if there was a possibility of pregnancy, or what might be possible explanations for my period constantly arriving two weeks early? Thank you for your help.

Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
I appreciate your concern for the irregular periods.

Well, as a matter of fact used properly i.e. as early as possible withing 72 hrs of unprotected sex, the Plan-B will decrease the chances of a pregnancy by 85% or about 7 out of every 8 women who would have gotten pregnant do not become pregnant.

Regarding the irregular periods that you have been having, it could be either due to hormonal imbalances or the stress you are facing.

Get an opinion from the gynecologist for the evaluation of irregular periods and to rule out hormonal imbalances.

Hope this answers your query.
Good luck.
