Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Postinor 2?

Hi I took postinor 2 a few ours after I had sex not more than 5hrs took first tablet n then took second tablet 12hrs has prescribed my period was late n now I am experiencing brown discharges took a test n its positive. How come did the pill not work?

There is no contraception method in this world which is 100% effective. Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. It prevents pregnancy by inhibiting implantation of fertilized egg on the uterus. It is 95% successful if taken within 24 hours of having sex.
You had taken the pills as directed. But it is your bad luck that despite taking pills within 24 hours of having sex you got pregnant. Next time use condom or regular contraceptive pill as method of contraception in future. They have better success rate & have fewer side effects also.

Now you could go for an abortion under guidance of a gynaecologist if you donot want this pregnancy.
