Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking A Contraceptive Pill?

Hi please can you help on Friday the 24th February unfortunately the condom split, the day after I had bit of bleeding but just to be sure I took Levonelle in the Monday morning at 9 am, within the 72 hours, I already had bit of bleeding on that day but wanted to be extra safe. I bled for the whole week till Sunday the 5 th March. However I am experiencing signs of pregnany, it is now the 17th March, could I be pregnant or can side effects last that long, been having these symptoms for past week.Thank you

Hi,

Emergency pills are highly effective when taken within 72 hours so you don't have to worry about pregnancy. You also had your period. The symptoms may be from the emergency pill taking and it may last during the cycle you took them.
