Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Oral Contraceptive?

First week of june I saw my period and I have sex 7th of june without any protection. On the 8th of june which is the next day I took potinor one talet . And am suppose to see my period first week of july up till now I have not seen it . I have been feeling some pain on the down part of my stomach as if I want to see my period. Am worried if am pragrant on not . What will I do?

We understand your concern. I have read your question carefully and understood it. I will try my best to answer it.

As you told that you had unprotected sex within a week of starting of menstrual period. This date falls within the range of safe period. I must educate you a little about "Safe period". It is a period during which a healthy couple can have unprotected sex without risk of pregnancy. If a lady has a regular cycle of 28-30 weeks (Day one = First day of menstrual flow), then is is calculated from Day 01 to day 07 and then from day 20 to day 28. Since your sexual activity was well within the safe period (from day 01 to day 07) there is no chance of getting pregnant.

The pain you are experiencing appears to be a pre-menstrual pain. So get relaxed. You should use barrier method from day 08 to day 19. Till 7th day and after 19th day you can have unprotected sex without a fear of pregnancy.
