Is Pregnancy Possible If The Condom Is Broken During Sex?

I m on birth control and I take it daily in the morning time. A week ago today, I forgot to take it that morning, but I did take it that evening. Not 15-20 minutes after I took it, I had sex. He was wearing a condom and it broke but we didn t realize until it was too late. He did pull out but he says he s not 100% sure whether anything got inside me or not. My period should ve started Saturday. Being scared, I took a plan b pill Monday. I still haven t started my period. Is there any chance at all that I could be pregnant? I know I might be overreacting and it might be too soon to tell but I m scared because I m only 19.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is a probability of pregnancy.

If you miss your periods, I suggest to do a urine pregnancy test or a beta HCG blood test for evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
