General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You can become pregnant as soon as 3 to 4 months after your last shot of Depo-Provera. But it takes some women up to a year or two to conceive after they stop using this type of birth control.

This time frame does not seem to be linked to how long you got the shots.

The persistence of ovulation inhibition following Depo-Provera discontinuation is not related to the duration of use, but is related to weight.

Women with lower body weights conceive sooner after discontinuing Depo-Provera than women with higher body weights.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
