Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse After Discontinuing Althea?

Hi doc. .ive been using and tried althea for just 1 month last may and end in june 7 2015. But during month june i‘ll stop using it and now i have a sex last june 27. This july my period did not came. Is there a chance that im pregnant.? Please answer me.’

Hi,

Yes, there is a chance of pregnancy since you have stopped the pills few weeks before intercourse. I suggest you to take a pregnancy test by 10 days of missed period or after 2 weeks of sexual intercourse, in order to get a reliable test result. Blood test can also be taken which is more sensitive than urine test.
