Is Pregnancy Possible Through Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?

Okay so I had sex April 2nd 2016 with my boyfriend we didn use protection but he pull out and came on my back , I think he pre cummed tho, is it a possibility I could have chances of being pregnant?? Like that following Sunday the 3rd I got my period, like I don t know if I m just paranoid or what but please help

Hello,

I can understand your concern. The pre-ejaculatory fluid that the penis secrets anytime before ejaculation during sexual intercourse contains sperms and so is capable of making you pregnant. That is why for protection from pregnancy, use of contraception like condoms, contraceptive pills or IUD is advised. If you fail to use any contraception before the intercourse, you can take emergency contraceptive pill like I pill or Plan B after unprotected sexual intercourse within 72 hours.

However, if you want to confirm whether you are pregnant or not, you can take a home pregnancy test. The test kit is available in all medical stores. Read the simple instructions on the pack and you can follow them to test your pregnancy.

If it comes negative, you can wait for your periods next month without worrying while taking care to use contraception next time. If it comes positive, you should visit a gynecologist to discuss further options.
