Hello Parkavi,

I can understand your concern. The medicines you are given Melmeta and Krimson 35 regulate your hormonal levels and make your menstrual cycles regular while Ovasafe is a combination of some vitamins and minerals which are supplemental to the therapy.

Krimson 35 also acts as a contraceptive which prevents pregnancy. As you are trying to conceive, your gynecologist asked you to stop that medicine. In addition, your PCOD is cured so you do not need it anymore.

However, Metformin is not a contraceptive and it is known to control weight gain, prevent chances of miscarriage and prevent development of diabetes during pregnancy in patients having PCOD. So continuing with Metformin will be beneficial to you. Furthermore, Ovasafe can help you with increased need of vitamins and minerals during conception and pregnancy so there is no harm in continuing that, too.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic with your concern. I wish you happy and healthy life!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
