Is Pregnancy Possible While Being On Mierna Past Its Removal Date?

I have had my mirena since February 2009. It is past time to get it removed and I am planning to get it removed next week. I just want to know how possible it is to get pregnant after it is expired because I have been having fatigue, cramps, lower back pain, nausea (without vomiting) headaches, all the works it feels like. I ve heard it s very hard to become pregnant afterwards and also that it is very easy. I took a home PT and the result was negative. I m just confused and trying not to overthink. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query in HCM.
Post expiry, the effectiveness of protection against pregnancy would have diminished. All it takes is a couple of your cycles to become normal as before.
It is not hard to become pregnant post Mierna. Only thing is your cycles should become regular and then you will start ovulating as before.
