General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
PCOD is an ovulation problem, where ovulation is hampered due to some hormonal imbalance.
Spontaneous ovulation is possible in this condition & that must be the case when you conceived.
Mostly PCOD tends to be corrected after pregnancy. Please get it confirmed as there are few other causes (weakness, ill health, physical or psychological stress) can cause delay in periods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
